Hey guys,

This ones got me stumped!!! If you "know" what this may be please let me know. Sand horse riding arena near smiths falls ON. Lots of random wild life in my area lately.

Track?

I don't have a name, but he is a bearded dude that is a little caustic, likes to hunt whitetail bucks and lives west of MB...

Hope that helps.

Pterodactyl. Very similar to the ones I saw the other day.

My guess would be cougar, but I'm not familiar with the type of wildlife in your area. They look like cat tracks to me.

Top 3guesses have been wolf, Bear and Cougar.

Wolf: they are around and more a hybrid wolf/yote
Bear: there has been a baby bear spotter in my area by a few trail cams and people
Cougar: more of a myth out here, from previous exp out west cougars tend to leave a base pad print in their tracks.

That is hard packed sand so it had to have weight to do those marks.

I believe that cats ( and possibly big cats) walk in thier own tracks back feet in thier frount tracks or very closely together . Canine ( dogs ,wolves) have similar tracks staggered in gates as for difference in size of the animal. So from What that I can see from the size compared to your hand its likely a big cat walking in its own foot steps. Canines you would most likely be able to see claw marks, cats have retractable claws no marks . I am by no means a tracker of big cats but thats what I am seeing .

I don't know, too inconsistent.
At first I thought man made, but maybe it's 2 animals, 1 on top the other.

I remember the first time I tracked a 6 legged deer. Took me a minute but I had a good laugh when I figured it out.

I'm back to man made, but open to change. ;)
