Top is a Winchester Theodore Roosevelt Commemorative model 94 with hexagon barrel. Never fired.

Bottom is a Winchester model 64 with peep site.

They made those things by the 100's of thousands.
I wouldn't pay any more than $600 for a good 64 or 94.
Maybe $750 for a top end 92.Have to admit that the new miroku 94s are a better gun than anything the old winchester company ever made.
The mirokus msrp over $1300.

Perhaps you need a new CGN handle?

I'm seeing some model 64s from 1950 era going for $1500-$2000. This one was registered pre WW1. I think it was 1907 or 1908, but I'll check the registration.

(and thank you very much Joe)

I'm going to hazard a guess at $650 for either of them. The Model 64 is more desirable in my opinion. Apart from the sling swivels, ( and the tang sight!) which I don't think are original, it seems to be in well used, but otherwise unbuggered condition. You might get a bit more for the commemorative if you have the box.

Facts are facts.
Nostalgia is a subjective criterion different folks put different $ values on.
Technically (materials, w/m fit, workmanship) the mirokus are better guns.
It’s not about nostalgia. It’s about the guns.
If it wasn’t for the lawyer safety crap I’d own 2 or 3 of them.
I agree with w94 about the quality of the old vs the new miroku winchesters.

In some aspects! I hate to see the front sight sticking above the barrel about 1/8 inch with the new ones! Every time I see that I think to myself what else did they cheep out on? Maybe time will tell? But they are nice, I don't own one. but could! I own Winchester 94s Marlin 1893, and a Win 64 and other old rifles.

Ya I think the sites on the 64 aren't original. I wouldn't sell it as it's an heirloom. The model 94 maybe. I need to make some room and someone might appreciate the 94 more.

The model 64 is probably the most solid rifle I've ever used. Pretty cool that it's over 100 years old and works better than a lot of modern guns.

The tang sight on the Model 64 is worth $150.00 by itself!
And "he" posted on yours and then "you" went on yours to edit the comment and make it sound like it's from you and not him?

Okay then...

I have just recently seen two very nice all original 64s for 700 bucks each. If I didn't already have several I probably would have bought them. As to the commemorative I have no love for them nor enough experience to hazard a guess as to value. To me they are worth about 400 bucks as a poorly made (most I have seen) 94.

Total agree! with this post!
