Hi All, Can anyone tell me what this sight is off. Only thing stamped on it is Parker Hale PH17 I suppose it would fit on most anything, but it would be nice to know a bit of it's history. Also, what would it be worth ? Thanks, Jack

Wouldn't be surprised, although it could probably be fitted to a variety of cylindrical receiver .22 rifles.

Unless the base has been altered, a PH17 is designed for mounting on a tubular receiver.

Yes it is for a tubular receiver. I should have mentioned that and taken a side picture  Are BSA supersport rimfire rifles very common ? I've never even heard of them. I Goggled it and come up with a spring piston air rifle and a 5 shot 22LR. Interesting

It appears to be a target sight for an airgun. Specifically the Webley Mk 3 Supertarget.

I Goggled images of the Webley MK3 Supertarget and you are Bang on. :D I regained possession of my "First Rifle" awhile back. It was a "Cooey Sr Ranger" that my Dad had Target sights installed so I could shoot in the local Jr. shooting club. When my interest drifted towards "Girl's" he sold the Target sights and I eventually sold the gun to a friend and he mounted a scope on it. Now I have it back with no less than 7 holes drilled in the receiver. This PH 17 sight fits the contour but none of the holes line up. :( I was wondering if I could weld the holes up on the outside one at a time so it didn't heat up much. I have a MiG welder and have welded sheet metal on a project car without warping anything so I think it should be do-able. What do you Guy's think ?
