I have a scope that has been kicking around for decades....I have always assumed it was a canadian military scope as it came attached to a rechambered Long Branch .22 bbl...(just the bbl...rechambered to .219 zipper on a sharps and then ...horrors...bushed and mounted on a 94 winchester....turned, reblued and marked by a S. Ont gunsmith..)

It is 3 plex, heavy reticle, windage adjustable rings and an elevation turret which goes from 1 to 8 (hundred yards?)....the only marks are 'cad' on the top...which I have always assumed meant canadian arsenals division...and the number 625
0
on the bottom.......there is a 5 digit (serial?) number on the turret.......

as I'm clearing out the attic I wanted to first identify it and perhaps get an idea of the value....any help would be appreciated...

I have posted pics......

as you can see the mounts are definitely not the military mounts pictured but the scope is very similar if not identical to the zeiss under discussion.........

when first encountered the zipper bbl and mount was on a sharps...later pulled apart and the bbl mounted on a 94......

I later inherited the scope and rings...but haven't yet found the bases.......

Yep, that is a WW2 Kahles scope for sure. I wish I could find things like that in my attic!! Congrats on the find, it is a valuable scope in a collector's market.
