They know it, they still sell it and tell me they have done extensive testing. Ive got a post coming up with all my video results and trials of the primers. A moderator managed to lock my other post where it was really steaming along well and I was going to post all the results. Im guessing he is a supporter of lever and results to fascist censorship to get his way. Thats moderator tiriaq for anyone interested in knowing who it is stomping on rights. No matter, gives me an excuse to make another one.
The tests i did were simple, bright finish nail, nailed into a wood board and striking the primers with a hammer to detonate the primer a and its contents downwards onto the secure nail.
Anyways the instant results (yes vids are coming once ive finished the 24 hour period of corrosion)
MFS non corrosive, black powder on the nail, full black nail, typical results with no issues.
Corrosive 60/75 headstamp showed a yellowish residue mixed with the black of the powder, which i assume is the corrosive powder, no rusting yet after a couple hours.
Then i used two of the 31/72 head stamp chinese surplus "non" corrosive from lever arms. First lever arms primer i filmed going off, yellowy residue exactly similar to the residue from the corrosive primer on the 60/75, mixed with the black of the powder, no rust yet formed.
Second one i set off from lever arms was a whole different story. Upon removing the casing after the detonation, i noticed the nail was instantly covered in rust residue after detonation. I inspected the inners of the casing to find it full of caked rust. I had just pulled this casing out of hte same spam can, same case, same paper packaging as the one I had just detonated from lever arms with just the yellow residue.
So why is it full of rust, why is the nail now covered in rust and completely red from it. This isnt corrosive? Anyways im sure the other lever arms cartridge will yield rust. Like the labeled as corrosive primer 60/75, the yellow residue left by the lever arms 31/72 points to similar nature to the labeled corrosive 60/75 i have.
Yes the red lacquer seal was still around the bullet that had the rust.
