Help identify this fossil

You might have found the petrified prong of a Peruvian prince, or, if found in a cave, perhaps some carnivorous creature crept into the crypt and crapped. [:)

Wait. Let's beat a dead horse:

The key difference between a fossil and a bone, is that a fossil is not a bone. It is either bone that has been turned into rock or it's an impression of something.

That's assuming they're from the same animal....maybe you found the legendary animal burial grounds!! Was there a headstone? ;):D

Zoology 101 - only birds have a keeled breast plate.

I can see why one might mistake the pelvis for a skull, but a skull would not have fused vertebrae. Definitely not a turtle - a turtle has a backbone that is not attached to the shell.

Considering the size, young turkey or a goose.

Holy gripes batman!!!!! we've got a fossil!!!!

Waitttttt aaaa minute......Dat ain't no fossil..:D:kickInTheNuts:

Definately some type of bird...ruffed grouse parts look the same, only smaller....turkey could be...yoda says...

it also would help if we knew where it was found... beside a lake or at the top of a mountain?
