x2 on the 'ol Lakefield MkII

I no longer have one in the safe, but know where my last one went. Next time I see it will measure a bit and see if that helps confirm. I can't see the whole stock in your pictures, but is the end of the forestock angled? Mine were not rounded off, but finished in an angle.

No angle. Just rounded off.

If it was angled I would have been 95% certain of it's Lakefield origin. Will do some measuring once I see my 'ol gal again. That'll be a touch more definitive. It may not tell you what you do have, but you can strike one(of many) off your list.

EDIT:

Colour me silly! I'm pretty certain the takedown screw on the 'ol Lakefields were in front of magazine, and not between magazine n' trigger as your stock appears to be. Sorry for misleading!!!

Little bit more

This one shows the cutout. Anschutz action in a CIL stock? I lent one to a buddy I will ask him to verify the take down screw is in the middle. PM if you think this is close.

Boy,..that CIL is pretty close,..the cut -out is in the right place. Who would of thought there would be so many stocks that look almost the same.

It looks like the box mag version of the marlin 781.

Edit: model 780 was the box mag version, and the takedown screw is wrong on that one too.

I'm stumped. Well I guess I might as well hang it on the wall in the shop and label it "the Unkown Stock" Thanks guys for trying to help. mabey one day I'll trip across a barrel that I can retro fit it LOL.
