Help identify

Can anyone shed some light on this item?? It's made by Webley and scott Canada Patent 1925 and says its a Mark 1 Air Pistol. I assume it to be maybe a 177 caliber?

I guess a simple Google would have told me all the info I might need. Duh! Also I apologize for not putting this in the airgun lsection. I didn't even realize there was an airgun section as I've never been over there.

Google thinks it might be an AK47... I say old Webley but you already know that. It will either be .177 or maybe .22, those are the only diameters that I'm aware of Webley doing.

I remember as a kid using something similar but it shot darts. Not sure if it was a Webley. I believe you can use .177 pellets or darts in these.

I did briefly look at this at work but never had the time to really read it all. Thanks for the link just the same.
