help identifying 80 grain 6mm/243 bullets please

Sierra almost never has put a cannelure in their SP bullets. [let alone 2! lol]

Those strongly resemble an old, old offering from Remington, but it is so long since I had any, the recollection is dim.

I would start with data for an 80 grain common bullet, start low, and work up in ½ grain increments.

Regards, Eagleye.

Sorry that was misleading the box was from some sierra 75gr. Hp i had, just keeping theses in that old box.

Eagleye, i thought on doing that with one of my old hornady books im just not too sure on it ive always followed book data, if i cant get a good id on these im sure thats what ill do. Thanks

I'd still like to know the manufacturer and vintage of those bullets! I had some old bulk bullets with two cannelures as well. They were for the 30-30 and I understand that one cannelure was for lever guns and one for bolt guns. Don't recall the manufacturer, if indeed I ever knew it, all I know is that they shot well.

Hi. You load by the bullet weight, not who made 'em. Any 80 grain data will do. I'd be thinking IMR4350, but only because my .243 likes it.
