help identifying a custom action

The action could be a early Armtech/Gaulin Bros. action out of Que. They made a 2 lug action (round) and a 4 lug action. The picture is very similar to the two lug action that I have, except the bolt release on my rifle is on the right side of the action.

That could very well be why my bolt release is on the right side of the action. Also helps because the side centrial mount is on the left. A real PITA if you have to poke something through the sight mount to remove the bolt when clearing the firing point, if the bolt release in under the sight mount.

Measure the OAL without the recoil lug. If it is 8.25" then there is a good chance it is a 'PAS' or Time Precision (same/same) 'SLV' action with one of their 'fluted' bolts.

Excellent actions. I have an SLV (R)

edit to add .. for what it is worth - if it is what I think .. first they were called 'CPS' before they became 'PAS' then 'Time Precision' you may have an action from any one of the three iterations .... at this site there is mention of one of these actions: https://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek050.html where it set a 1000yd record at one point - " The action was an original CPS-SLV (Central Products for Shooters) provided by Walter Pirera, Central Products' owner, after he sold the business. (It is now Time Precision in Connecticut.)" Incidentally the magnum length (SLV Mag) of the PAS/Time Precision action is 8.65"

To me it looks too nice to be from Gaulin. He/they never made 2 actions the same. They only made them in the winter for something to keep them busy.

The brothers stopped working together, and one went off to do something else altogether. One was Francis, and I don't remember the other one.
