Help identifying sight mount

Hi all,
a friend of mine has this Winchester 290 .22LR and wants to buy a scope for it... What is this mount as I have no idea.

Thats whats called a dovetail , likely 3/8 dovetail. Very common on most newer manf. rifles. Rings can be bought pretty well from $20 up. If your friend takes it to any qualified store they can fix him up----Cowboy

Not just any rings, get a set of Burris Signature 1" Steel .22 rings. Worth every penny.
