Howdy folks, I am wondering if someone can shed some light on this cleaning rod. It is one piece and its style leads me to believe it is for a particular muzzle loader. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance :)

Yes, it is from a muzzle loader. The screw looking end is a bullet puller, used to remove the lead round ball, should there be an issue, such as forgetting to put the powder in first. If you give it a twist, it will screw out of the ram rod and is not intended to be there unless it is needed to pull a bullet. The other end is to ram the ball down the barrel. Measuring the diameter of the cupped end and subtracting a couple thou will give you the approximate calibre of the firearm. Measuring the length of the rod less a couple of inches and the bullet puller will give the approximate length of the barrel of the firearm.

Not quite. It is a ramrod for a muzzle-loading SHOTGUN. There should be a cover that screws on over the screw which is intended for removing wads when the shooter wants to unload rather than fire the gun. It is not strong enough to remove a patched round ball. I have several M/L shotguns and each has the same ramrod. Look at the TOTW catalogue to see what the complete tip looks like. The barrel(s) will be about 1/4" longer than what you have there.
