Found this in the backyard up at the cottage. About an hour north of Ottawa.

It is very flat and not bowed out like a whitetail antler, the shape makes me think reindeer but doesnt seem to make sense in that area lol

It was chewed on by a dog so the ends are gone but anyone have any other ideas?

I'm gonna say caribou, unless Ontario elk are different than ours. :) Brow tine is too straight and the main beam too long with no tines. Elk antlers aren't "flat".

Grizz

Can't see the tooth marks, but rodents will make short work of antlers. My pooch has been chewing on a whitetail shed for a few years now and hasn't worn the points off at all, but the mouse that was gnawing on it first sure did.

It definitely is flat, thats what made me think reindeer lol. I wish i had it on me to take a pic of it sitting on that stump from the side, it has very little bowing.

The closest exotic animal farm i can think of is Parc Omega (like a kind of aninal park/zoo you can drive through and see animals and feed them). Thats 50km straight line from the cottage in heavy heavy bush and hills.

Flashman, good point i assumed it was the neighbours dog because it was near that side of the yard but the bite marks are too small/accurate to be a dog chomping away at a bone.

Also, cottage is an hour north of ottawa in quebec. I know quebec has carribou but way way north unless something escaped like was mentioned.
