Just picked up an old (1960's) CIL 300 semi auto mint shape , made by Anschutz for CIL.
Thats all I know, any of you folks own one , have any info on Quality, Accuracy, and hows it holds up (missfires, jams).
Thanks very much , have a great up coming weekend :D

My experience with these rifles has been nothing but positive, though I have not fixed hundreds, I have owned, shot, and hunted with quite a few of them (300's,470's,and 525's) and have never experienced the problems stated in the other post. I never had a jam in any of the one's I owned, but then I keep them clean, and use minimal lube. As for accuracy they will shoot circles around many other 22 semi's, they pull up really nice, for my frame anyways, and the last shot bolt hold open feature is simple and effective.
These rifles were not designed for hyper velocity ammo, the new 525 state right in the owners manual to use standard vel. ammo. I know for every good story there always seems to be a bad one, but if this rifle is such a bad design, why does Anschutz still basically make the same rifle after 40 some years.....hmmm.
These rifles shoot dynapoints, CCI subs, CCI standard vel, and remington subs very well, in my experience.

I have one. Mine works fine except it occasionally fires double taps on its own with HV ammo. It cycles standard velocity and subsonic target ammo very well as long as it is kept clean. Accuracy is acceptable for a semi but not what you would expect from an anschutz. Trigger is pretty nice. Chamber is snug. Parts guns are very easy to find because so many broke, as you read above.

Cool, and sucks at the same time, I got mine now, hoping for a bit warmer temps, to try it out, Mags are steel, look straight , and hold 10 rounds. I think there is a place online that sells all kinds of mags , if I find it, will get back, and post it. :)
