Help me buy a tactical shotgun!

Minimalist Tactical

I just threw up in my pants. :)

Great- now I want one. And then will come the ban.

I feel like the 1301 is safe, being that it's also a family of sport/competition guns, and don't have pistol grip stocks, and all models supplied with reduced capacity in stock configs.

m4 and fam, I feel less safe (entirely due to military pedigree), let's hope future bans in Canada will steer clear of shotguns.

Right now S&J has the Revoluntion Armory R4's for $585 for black friday. At that price you cant really go wrong. If you are going for a dedicated wilderness carry gun then look no further than the 18.5 870 or a 500/590. These are going to be the MOST reliable options to choose from and there are plenty of aftermarket parts (many can be found on the EE for cheap) if you want to "pimp your ride" so to speak.

I really hope so.

Buy once, cry once. For semi auto - Beretta 1301 Tac. For Pump, Fabarm STF-12. I have two Fabarms and a 1301 tactical and they are as good as it gets. I've owned Remington 870s and my friend has a super nova tac 14 with collapsable stock and my Fabarm is a different planet - and yes more expensive. I almost bought the Benelli 14 but did not like the stock at all. There is the Benelli M4 but the beretta is lighter, has a better trigger, smoother feeding (no chewed up fingers) Yes, the M4 is the king of the hill for SHTF and I would still love one but is has drawbacks compared to the Beretta. I bought an M4 for a friend and he preferred the 1301. Just personal preference.
I'm actually selling my Fabarm Martial Pro 14 barrel if you're interested (don't need 3 pumps)
