Help me choose a .22 pistol

GSG 1911 .22

Bought one for the GF but i seem to shoot it more. Love it and it likes everything i feed it. The only issue i have is reloading if i just let the slide go on a fresh mag sometimes it doesn't feed properly but when firing its fine.

You will be happy with the 71, its a good pistol.

Personally I cant hit jack with it though. I am now shooting a Ruger MK3 Competition and its a dream.

One mans trash as they say!

Well I hope it's decently accurate, otherwise I'll be on the hunt again for another .22 pistol, lol. This will at least entertain me for a while if nothing else!

Whatever you do, don't buy a Sig Mosquito. GSG 1911-22 is a good one for the price but they have the ugliest beavertail I've ever seen.

S&W 22-1 is a tack driver for just over $300.

I find the Browning 1911-22 a lot harder to shoot than the Beretta 71 mainly due to the tiny GI sights on the 1911-22.
The internals of the 1911-22 are similar to a full size except that the barrel is fixed in place, the barrel is tapered to the muzzle so it locks into the bushing.
The 1911-22 is accurate but takes extra effort to shoot, the Beretta 71 is accurate and easy to shoot.

Thanks for that. Helpful.

If you wanna go with a 1911 in .22lr, go with the Colt/Walther instead of the GSG.

Then there is also the Ruger MKIII, which is a very good pistol and have a VG resale value.
There is tons of good .22lr pistols out there...
