Help Me Choose A QD Mount and Optic! (AR)

Looking for a nice QD mount and optic to put on my AR. Something mid-power and variable for quick shots from 100-300 meters. Mildot reticles are looking pretty neat. I'd like to keep it under $300 for the mount and $1000 for the scope. I know next to nothing about optics aside from the basics so any help is appreciated.

agree 100%.

at 100-300m, with a proper zero - (50/200, 25/300) depending on what you are shooting (steel, paper, small groups) you shouldn't need much in terms of a BDC reticle or magnification.

another nice option could be the sightron 1-7.

I like the ADM mount it appears to be exactly what I am looking for and at half my budget. Any of the sponsors stocking them?

ADM Recon or Scout mount... the Recon has double throw levers, the Scout only has one, so it's a tiiiny bit lighter.

Optics - tough to beat the TR24 for the price. Nightforce 1-4x's come up for sale around the $1000 every once in a while...

Tr24G or NF 1-4x.

ADM for sure.

If your scope is gonna be on 1x most of the time, then TR24. It seems to have less distortion and "tube effect".

The NF has nicer exposed "Tac" turrets, and you can get a mildot ret, however I find it too small to be useful.
