I have a Beretta shotgun with a 28" bbl. for hunting skeet etc. I wanted something a little shorter for target practice etc. I have been mulling this over for about 24 months and have just not decided, tough choice. I have a soft spot for Italian guns but am keeping an open mind. So, I thought I would let those who already own these guns give me their input. I appreciate any insight.

Personally my first shotgun was a stoeger m2000 after a 1500 round the firing pin was used enough that you heard a clic sometime ( always at the bad time ) i finally send it for repair and buy a Benelli Vinci some month after , i got only one malfunction with my Vinci and it was because it was dirty i didn't clean it all the summer an part of the hunting seasons .
it depend too what you want to do with your gun , with a benelli you can got wrong they are like a Ferrari

I have a Remy Versa-max and Mossy 930.
The Remy is twice the price and worth it.
I contacted Wolverine about bringing in tactical barrels (22" I think) for the Remy but they said it maybe a long wait if ever...?
The girlfriend has a Browning Maxus and despite it's light weight, it shoots softer than the Versa-max.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen & expect any short 18.5" barrels for the Maxus.
However there is a shorter rifled barrel 24"(?) that could be obtained.
Browning isn't really into tactical but FNH is, so maybe a FNH model might work for you - perhaps contact Irunguns.
I have shot a M4 a few times - nothing wrong with it - you get what you pay for I guess.
A friend of mine who is a LEO in Colorado really enjoys the M2 the Dept. bought for him and he swears buy it - keeping in mind that his and or someones else's life may depend on it.
I would suggest that you shoot all of them first if you can, failing that you can always buy one & if it doesn't work out - sell it on the EE.

Haha add all of them together and they dont come to the price point of a m4 either so.....
All depends on budget!
I've shot all of the guns listed except for the Fabarm SAT-8, and I'd go Benelli M-2, either the rifle sighted Tactical or the 21" Field model.
The weight, balance and sheer pointability of the M2 are awesome, and the inertia system is clean, simple and will run forever.
There's a reason all those 3-gun types run an M2...
