I'd take Mr Friendly's advice and try the Mak 90. Konus is another budget option but that Mak 90 looks good and about the only possible issue is durability and water proofness...........not an issue at the range if you are careful and have a good tripod.
Where the more expensive glass really shines is eye strain when you are looking through the scopes for long periods of time such as spotting wildlife.
At the range all you need to see is the bullet holes and there's no need to look at them for minutes or hours. No doubt better glass will always be better but at some point you just won't see a small hole in a target anyways regardless of how much you spend. That's where the remote camera at the target makes more sense.
