Help me choose budget optics for ar15

Ive been putting this off for too long. I currently use a vortex sparc red dot, but for what i do most of the time id like more of a traditional scope. That said, i cant drop close to a grand on the scopes id really love to have. There are a lot of threads about this online but most are in the us (we sometime have very different prices) and/or are out of date

Heres what im looking for
Clear
Not less than 9x magnification (higher is acceptable)
1/4 moa turrets, preferably resettable
Easily available in canada (in stock)
300-ish is max budget without rings/mount (+- a bit)

For the mount im looking for 1peice easy to remove, either quick detach or just not a pain to remove. Ive been looking primarily at the burris pepr
 
At that budget there are not a lot of choices unfortunately. You may need to either drop a bit more coin or possibly drop to a 2-7. I have 2 scopes that are close to what you're asking:

1) A Bushnell Trophy XL 3-9 that is surprising good for the approx $200 price tag.
2) Leupold VX-2 2-7X33 that is quite nice for approx $300 (yup it's only 2-7, but it's what I have on my AR15 right now and works real nice.

The scopes I have that I will end up replacing: Simmonds Predator quest - hate it, NCStar 3-9 compact - think my sks broke it.

I've got a Millet LRS 4.5-25 monster I'd sell ya for close to your budget, that would look comically good on an AR15 if you want to go uber-tacticool. ;) ;)
 
For that price range check out the following brand names. They may relative no name but generally get good reviews online about price, clarity and quality.

Mueller (not sure where to get these here in Canada)
Hi-Lux (Leatherwood): Wolverine carries those
Firefield (IRUNGUNS)

I myself just bought a Firefield to try for my upper in 204 Ruger. I haven't yet received it though. So I can't tell you how good bad or ugly it really is.
 
I had a Burris Fullfield II sitting on my SL-8 when I first got it to test it out and it was a really nice little scope for a low end one anyway. 3X9 40

I replaced it with a Hilux 1X4 as it suited that rifle better but I still have it and would mount it again if I ever wanted to shoot longer ranges.

Has a compensation reticle for different distances which worked well for my rifle anyway.

For that price range and requirements there is really only one I can recommend.

Burris Fullfield II or look around for Burris E1. $200-250 range. Shop around!! Don't pay too much. I've never paid more than $200 for the fullfield new.

The mount would be a Buris PEPRE quick release. I use this setup on a couple rifles. It's excellent and cost effective. My costlier 1-4x sollution is the HiLux with ADM mount. A 1-4x Falcon in PEPRE mount isn't bad either. But the Burris glass is exceptional for the price.
 
I had this scope show up this week. Peaking through the window down the street it seems really clear. Until I mount it on my new build and get to the range I won't know for sure. That will be months sadly as I'm waiting for my barrel from Brownells and it's been on backorder for some time.

The price was right and a for a budget (cheap, cheap, cheap) scope it gets decent reviews on the net.
 
I've got 3 Nikon scopes. 2 P-Series and an M-Series. They're the best bang for the buck IMO. Any of our decent retailers should be able to get you one.
