I'm looking for a short AR15 and am trying to decide between the LWRC UCIW vs the KAC SR15 with 11.5 barrel. I like the fact that the LWRC's overall length is shorter but overall feel the KAC is better and the ballistics from the 11.5 inch barrel will be better than the 8 inch LWRC one. This will be my first AR15 so I would appreciate input from other's.

I have limited experience with AR's but have shot a few and own a KAC SR 15 11.5" The fit and finish are very good and there are no disappointments. I think that it is more accurate that I am out to 100 yrds. At 25 and 50 it will put 10 rounds through 1 hole the size of a Loonie. Shoot a few and pick the one that fits you. I would buy the KAC again so that tells me I'm happy with my choice. When I want to get into longer range precision (300-600) I will get another upper with a 18" barrel that is designed for that. Or I might suggest 7.62 and get into something that is more long range friendly and has some weight to it.
