Help me choose - ruger or savage 6.5 cm

Op here you go. you wanted to be helped for choosing between Ruger and Savage. So far you have been advised to buy Tikka, Browning, Sako, Kimber, and Sauer in addition to Ruger and Savage.
 
That’s what happens when you ask for advice. I will keep y’all posted on what I decide

I would go with the Savage. If you shoot quite a bit - a 6.5 barrel will last in the 2500 rounds range +-.
It is easy to do a barrel change on a Savage - quite a big selection of prefit barrel from all barrel maker. This allows you also to change caliber if you ever want to ( within the family of cartridges ).

Ruger accessories and upgrade are not very easy to find. Down the road, chassis, trigger, bolt, barrel are avail on the Savage.
But the main point..out of the box..Savage are more accurate..:)

With the savage , I hear you want to change the stock change the trigger put on this and that.
After upgrades you are in the same budget
Everyone is saying tikka but already have one so wanted something different but ended up with almost the same thing
Might as well just get something better off the top and be done with it.
