Help me chose my AR tonight please

Imperial Defense are GARBAGE.... there is NO CHOICE MAN Smith n Wesson all the way ....I own a bushmaster myself but the Smith is FAR Superior to the Imperial Defense AR . For the amount you are spending go look at one and you will see what i mean.. Fit and finish are better on the smith for sure. But if i could do it over ...i would by a LMT or LWRC.

Of the two. S&W. That being said, I personally went with a Stag 2T.

I have been waiting for a Stag 2L from Arms East for 5 months now. 2L to be exact. Stag has been dicking Arms East around with there order over the past 3 months so I have to go another route. Hopefully when Walter gets his shipment in I will have the money to buy the gun from him until then I couldn't wait any longer I needed one now. Its like a junky having to wait for his next hit of cocaone, I couldnt wait any longer. Dont get me wrong Arms East is great to deal with its Stag that has poor customer service.

Thanks for that. As I said on the phone, I understand completely.

In defence of Stag Arms, I should say I don't think our wait is customer service related, Delay was due to commercial resale licensing + US domestic supply schedule + requirements for CDN specific markings. Frustrating though, when timelines are not achieved.

Police configurations are still licensed and here within a month, so when they can, they do.

I already gave my recommendation for the alternative brand. ;)

I think you made the right choice with the S+W. I have one and like it - fit and finish are important to me and S+W didn't let me down at all in this area. My S+W has proven to be accurate out of the box and has reliably digested the variety of .223 I have put through it. Enjoy !

Unfortunately I couldn't wait any longer. I needed to get my AR15 now because I have such little time when I do get home from working offshore on the oil rigs I need to use my time efficiently when it comes to recreation and I really wanted to go home and shoot an AR after this trip. If and when you do get ur shipment by all means let me know and I hope to have the money to purchas it. As it is right now my S&W M&P15 will be waiting for me on my door step as soon as I get home so I can go out and do some shooting. I'm sorry it worked out this way and I hold no hard feelings towards Arms East but I just couldn't wait.

I encourage everyone to do bussiness with you if they get a chance because its not your fault that Stag couldn't deliver when they said they would. I do certainly hope to do bussiness with Arms East in the future especially when you get your AR15 shipment in or I will submit the paperwork and purchase the one as discussed.

Walter is the tops, thats for sure... Same thing happened to me I was waiting for an upper and a combination between stag and the boarder kept delaying the man toys. So unfortunately I had to build one from the EE, as I did have the itch aswell. I'm still on the list though so when it comes in, I'm sure I can scrounge up some doe.
As far as your purchase good on ya, I've herd nothing but good things about S&W they are a huge company and they have been around quite awhile. A few things though first of all if its not to late see if you can get the dealer you purchased from to thread your barrel for a flash hider, S&W's don't have them from factory as do alot of brands do to US export restrictions. Also for the money you spent surely you can do better then the RRA adjustable stock, why not go for a Magpul MOE, you can get it from Brownell's for about 65 bucks to your door, way nicer IMO. Lastly you were saying as cash permits you will be getting optics, Google FabSports, they have knock off aimpoints that do the trick until you can afford the real deal for about 50 bucks which includes the cantilever mount. Good Luck, & safe shooting....

I'm really happy with my S&W M&P15. Fit and especially finish is excellent. Just a little bit of the usual and expected movement in the space between the upper and lower. I've been told that Stag makes the M&P15 for Smith. Any truth to this? (Told to me by my 3 buddies who all own Stags)
