i've got a 1911 project going here.

so far my norinco gov model has a extended guide rail, new wilson combat extended slide release/safety, pachmayers and a sprs tactical rail. but i'm now in the market for a new beavertail, the stock one i have now curves downward.

when i shoot it it bite into my hands because of how wide they are.

i am looking for a upward curving nice long beavertail.

what do you reccomend? how much will it cost?

I've got a Springfield Armory Milspec with the same grip safety tang sticking out there. So in my attempt to add a curved beavertail, but without any cutting or frame modification, I ordered a Wilson Drop-In Extended beavertail. I forgot to mention from Brownell's (keep your order under $ 100). The unit dropped straight in with only a bit of gunsmith recommended tweaking and I was good to go. Can't recall how much it cost, but upwards of $ 30 give or take.

Hope this helps the 'tweaking 1911' addiction.
