At the range yesterday and shot a Henry lever action 22 wmr ... had a blast, cool gun.

So of course that got me to researching my next buy ... :d

Right now I am looking at :

Henry Golden Boy 22 wmr
Henry Big Boy 357
Rossi M92 357

But honestly at this point I am open to anything ... just has to be a lever gun similar to the Henry I shot.

Those that are into these guns ... your suggestions and why?

Thanks for the help.

If you like the heavier guns stick with the Henry. The others are lighter
If undecided choose caliber and barrel length and style then frame whether brass silver blue or case colored. That will help you narrow down exactly what you want

What are you shooting at mostly? If just plink/paper why not just go with a 22lr henry?

If varmints then I would go 22wmr. (38/357 riccochets too much IMO)

the 24" octagonal barrel Rossi has all the weight you could ask for & a loading gate , love the smooth lever of a Henry but have trouble with no loading gate.

Go with the Golden Boy in .22 LR... cheaper to shoot, so you will get a whole lot more fun out of it. The Henry GB's have exceptionally smooth actions... they are very nicely built rifles. Keep your eye on the EE... I am pretty sure a NEW GB LR will be posted in the next couple days... ;)

I have a rossi 92 stainless in 44. Love it. Probably my favorite rifle. Kicks pretty good with 24gr of H110 :)
I use it for metallic silhouette, and it's more accurate than I am at 200m

I like the fact that it isn't overly heavy.

I'm partial to the 1892 , 1873 or 1894. Winchester Miroku. 1873 for Cowboy action. Personal favorite is my 1892 takedown deluxe with octagonal barrel in .45 Colt. It's not good for CAS as only 9 shots. 357 Magnum nice but make sure it's not one of those " 357 Magnum only" on the barrel ones. Yeah Yeah I know I should be able to shoot 38 special in those. I just don't like when they stamp it on the barrel.
