Help me decide Ruger sr1911 vs Sig-sauer 1911 Nitro

So true...if they sold for $800, I might consider one. Instead they sell for as much as Colts...umm, no.
 
Love my sig scorpion, but I definitely bought it for how it looks (love the redesign of a classic). But the ruger is a good looking piece as well. Can't go wrong as far as I'm concerned. All the ruger pistols I've owned and shot have been top notch.
 
The Sig 1911XO can be had for under $900. Cabelas has them in stock for $880! Love my Sig 1911. That being said, I would have no issues buying a Ruger SR1911... I kinda want one actually. :)
 
My opinion, if you are considering the SIG at that price variation, then obviously the concern is not savings vs. So out of the 2, I would choose the SIG. However, since you are in the $1200 ballpark, I would quickly jump to an STI Trojan.....owned all 3 and I preferred the Trojan fit, finish, and operation. JMHO.
