Well here it goes, in the end, I'm thinking of two rifles, both are extremely well designed, and i'm at a 50/50 split so i need some help guys, and remember since i'm new to this, don't flame too too much for my screw ups (remember the SCAR-H thread...:p )

first up the tavor!
From what i can find(good):
1.bullpop design, looks nice, very short
2.ability to use the 10 rnd mags
3.pre-calibrated optics (complete package)
4.cheaper in CA
(bad)
1.cannot install other optics at the time
2.the shortness of the part in front of the trigger is too short for a under barrel shotgun (if eventually this is possible...)
3.shorter barrel for accuracy (18.7 inches)
4.(thanks tootall)
5.slow reload?
6.Pre-order only
7.optics is forced onto the dealer, potential problem on the optics that caused IWI to lock in the optics with the gun
(questions)
1.where is the magazine release?
2.can this be attached to a sling?
3.do the magazines slip out when the mag release is pressed or is it another motion to pull it out?
4.How easy it is to clean the tavor?

Then the Swiss Arms PE90
(good):
1.long rail for any kind of optics
2.conventional design
3.adjustable stock (correct me if I'm wrong)
4.Clear plastic mags looks nice
5.longer barrel for accuracy (20 inch)
6.been around for some time, so the bugs are out
7.back up sights
8.sling capable
9.mag release is after the trigger guard, reached with the trigger finger (thanks scarecrow)
(bad)
1.length, its OAL is longer
2.It looks less impressive compared to the futuristic tavor (IMO)
3.Cannot use 10 rnd mags
4.mags do not drop out like AR (thanks scarecrow)
5.cleaning takes some time (thanks scarecrow)

Problem with these questions is we dont have the tavor in country to know all these 100%. What experience people do have is with the swiss arms.

So here goes:
1) Mag relase is right after the trigger guard, can be activated with the trigger finger.
2) Mags are inserted ALA AK47 (angled and rocked into place) so they do not just drop out like an AR.
3) Cleaning a sig after a long shoot is a bit of work. You have to scrape the carbon off the piston face, pass a brush down the piston tube and scrape the gas cap a bit, thats about all thats extra to clean. Thing is the SIG rarely actually needs the cleaning.

#4 No back up sights.

In fact, the Tavor does have a flip up plastic sight if you were ever to break off the optic one.

Tavor for me the reason
Tavor uses Cheaper AR mags and now 10 round pistol mags are available the Swiss BS mags cost $70.00 ea. The Tavor is a fullsize rifle and is about the same length as Swiss CQB with stock extended

Only problem with the tavor is the optics... it comes with good optics ........ or does it... ? how many MOA is the reflex site on the tavor? 8 MOA or 10 MOA? That is like holding a red peice of paper 6 inches from the site (not exactly)..... accurate rifle - probably but the optics dont lend them self to much..... I forsee everyone purchasing new optics for the tavors...... or purchasing the IMI/IWI magnification optic for behind the reflex site - So, that in itself is another 500-1000 setback. A 3000 rifle just turned into a 4000 rifle.....

I like em... just 3000 + 1000 is hard to swallow....

HP

HP you argument is flawed you .The Swiss Black special has a rail and no Optical sight so in fact you are in the $4000.00 mark for the Swiss as well if you sell the optic off the Tavor that can drop substantially

well according to canadaammo, the optics is "roughly 2 MOA" and i also have dough on the M21, if it was the MARS they are selling, i'd jump on the tavor, but since they still gave me no indication that this is possible with the first shipment, i'd assume that the MARS is no go, and the adapter is also not known at this time (its a weird setup so regular optics will take some sort of adapter to work)
and any accessories for tavor from IWI/IMI is not available at the time also...

And the future of the tavor (the version similar to the ones we are buying) is kinda unstable, as the Isreal army adapted Tavor-2 and not the original tavor, while i do not know which version other countries adapted and if the OICW tavor is been developed on the version we have, so support and accessories are in the air for it...

But the swiss PE90 is more expensive (the M21 optics is claimed to be $700) so its 2300 Vs. 3000 for the gun it self

Also, because the tavor could be widely adapted, vs. the slow coming in of PE90 and its higher price, it could be a far more sustained platform

The Tavor does take the AR, 10 round mags. So that would do it for me. When it was featured on future weapons it was really accurate.

oo after seeing that there is a lock in with the m21 with tavor by IWI (not canadaammo) so that mean there could be a unpleasant cause for this since the m21 cannot sell by it self i'm leaning slightly to the PE90....
like 52/48

now if someone that owns a m21 confirms there is a problem with the m21.........

You could take off the M21 and sell it. It mounts to a 1913 rail.

I got to handle Can-Am's Tavor, it fits nicely into the shoulder and use an AR-15 bolt if I recall correctly. If I had the coin I would buy one right now.
