Hi folks,
When gramps died, his guns were divided among his sons and grandsons. I received his Marlin model 336 .35 deer gun for bush hunting. My cousin got his Marlin .22 which I used to love shooting and want to get a replica for myself. The trouble is, I can't figure out what model it is because my cousin put camo tape all over the barrel, and when I research archives, it doesn't match the features of the popular model 60 or XT-22.

Here's what I know: It is a semi-auto with a 7-shot detachable magazine. It has a wood stock with a blued barrel. It was likely purchased sometime in the 60s or 70s. I would include a picture but can't figure out how to include an attachment on this thread tool!!!
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks guys. Based on a quick internet search of pictures I'd say it's a Glenfield model 70. Wikipedia says the Glenfields were Marlin's "economy" line... that's definitely what Gramps would have bought, haha.

My Dad had a Glenfield M70 for many years. A good shooting little rifle, minute of gopher head at 50 yds with WW Super-X.
