I'm looking for it in .223, I have been hunting for this rifle and it seems fairly difficult to get my hands on.

Hammer forged barrel, composite stock, 1:9 twist, detachable magazine, seems to be a cool rifle.

I just picked up the transitional BRNO/CZ 527 in 222 at the local gun show, finally have one, and in 222 to boot! The only problem is the rifle is a little to rare, spare mags are hard to find, and when I do see them they are 300ish a pop. Kinda wish I had bought a normal CZ 527 lol.
 
Might try buying a regular varmint, and buy the kevlar or tupperware stock separately... Then you have some nice wood to impress the gf, and something that you don't care if you throw it under the seat of the truck...
 
Got the rifle a few months back from Prophet river firearms. They had good pricing and reasonable service. I also got a zeiss conquest hd5 5-25x50 varmint with cz high rings and it just clears the barrel just enough for the lense cap to fit. I have been very happy with the combo and with cheap Chinese ammo I can get a 2'' group at 200 yards just using a sandbag.
