Help me get a tom

Here's the situation:

I'm setup on the edge of a cornfield near the corner. I have permission to hunt in the field and the bush behind it, but not the bush on the left side (I'm allowed over there, just can't hunt it).
Each time I go scouting, there is a tom and a few hens at the very back of the field. (5-600 yards) They were there last year aswell. It was my first time turkey hunting last year, and I didn't make it out much (4 times). I can't seem to get that tom to come to my edge of the bush.

I'm not sure if he can hear the calls or see the decoys? Or if he just doesn't care?

How do I get him to come closer?

You may have better luck later in the season, after those hens are bred. Don't let them see you coming and going from your spot, be quiet, and don't call frantically. As well, if there are other toms or jakes near that area, they may come looking rather than fight the big tom...

Jakes will run a long way to get laid...

Never had any luck calling toms away from hens. Thats like leaving a three-some with 2 chicks for a chick that is calling you from across the hall....would you go? Probably, but only after you've already banged (bred) the 2 chicks on your arm already. So basically like blargon said, you'll have better luck latter in the season when he's out cruising for chicks again.

Assuming you are the only person hunting the property, let the gobbler breed his hens then when you start seeing him with fewer and fewer hens get your set up out and try to get him to come to you. Also some guys have had luck using a jake on top of a hen decoy to simulate breeding, get a jake gobble call and get the gobbler riled up, one of two things will happen he'll charge over or he'll completely ignore you.

Call the hens with soft purrs. You pique their interest and they'll drag Thomas along. Don't even blink and eye

I have never been able to call a tom off of hens. I've managed to pull a boss hen with tom in tow closer, but never managed to get him to leave the hens.

I called 4 hens into the next field one at a time, but Big Tom wouldn't come through the gate. Boy was he pissed his ladies left...

Then a coyote came and ruined it all...

you got to have faith ,if you could guess how many geese have been shot with 12 and 20 g 2.34 inch loads at 50 plus yards .just find out what thy like for shot size .and have a great hunt .it is the same with crossbows all we could het was 150lb bows and we never felt under powered .now i have 200plus lb bow and am still looking for more haha .be safe and have fun DUTCH

If you do youre part in scouting, turkeys are where you want them to be. Without making a sound.
If you wait long enough, they may make their rounds and end up where youre set up is, but it may be 10:00 am...or later?.... How much time are you willing to give?..
Toms will always go for a walk mid morning and if you bug out before mid morning you miss all the other possible angles of shooting a turkey.
