. Running theory is foreign aid scrubbed model, just like an M48BO.
I did some study on mine and it doesn't appear to be scrubbed. Built under contract is my belief. Most exported Type 56s came from Factory 26 Jianshe Arsenal.
They're threaded barrels, all milled, early configuration. Marstar had a fair amount of them, so did weimajack. Running theory is foreign aid scrubbed model, just like an M48BO.
Would'nt scrubbed have an obvious dividing line between the top half and bottom of the receiver? Although the absence of any other markings is certainly interesting. Forgive me, I'm more knowledgable on Russian models (phrasing...) but from the high res pics, this looks like a high quality commercial parts gun made in '61.
Better pic would verify.
I have one just like it, and it's by far my favourite SKS. It's nicely balanced (for an SKS) and the tolerances are tight.
The reason I suspect parts gun is because of the "n". My two cents...
The tolerances are extremely tight and the overall quality is remarquable.

Looks like a really nice Chinese example, I say early 60s, no later than 65. One piece gas tube, short barrel lug. Was there any markings under the wood?
