Hey all, I just picked up a double barrel, side by side shovelhead at an auction. It was never registered, and I need to figure out the make so I can register it and take possession.

It has 30" barrels, a number I assume is the s/n because it is on the stock and barrel, C320 which I assume is hte model. The only other markings is 12G inside a sqare on end, a crown below it, and below that ELG inside a circle.

Any ideas? What else should I look for?

Thanks...Jim

Worried about what to call it to register? Don't worry about that just tell Miramichi you have a double twelve, barrel length and give them a number off the shotgun. Let the firearms centre worry about what to call the thing... in all their wisdom!

Sounds like it was made in Belgium. QUOTE]

X2.

As you may already be aware.....prior to use, it would also be prudent to determine the overall "health" of the firearm via inspection by a qualified gunsmith as well as know the chamber length i.e. whether 2 3/4in or 2 1/2in etc.

There is a registration amnesty on presently; tell them if it's not registered now, they don't need to do it before transferring ownership.

Thanks for all the info. I spent an hour on the phone this morning, she couldn't figure the out make, so she forwarded me to a technician. It went to voicemail, and now I have to wait up to the next business day for a return call.
