So i have been interested in competitive shooting for awhile now, but honestly I just don't know where to start finding sources, guidelines, match locations and contacts to start!! Google has yielded nothing beneficial and I dont know anyone else that competes to help me out...except for you guys!!! Does anyone have any competition info or contacts for Alberta and area?? I am looking for just small time stuff right now, shooting a basically factory savage 12 FVSS in .223, 26" barrel, weighing in at 13lbs. Any info would be immensely appreciated!!

Well, you could try talking to some folks at the Alberta Provincial Rifle Association http://www.albertarifle.com/ or the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association http://www.dcra.ca/index.php
I'm pretty sure the Spruce Grove range people do some match stuff. CHAS does some competitive stuff but it's more 3gun. Chances are if you go to P&D Enterprises and start asking people you'll find someone who's involved.
