Ok so i really i mean really want a black rifle and am droolling over an AR-180b now here comes the problem im on a highschool budget:(. Which mean the going used price of around $1500 for a ar-180 is slightly daunting plus the cost of .223 ammo (and yes i do reload). My option B is to buy the Archangel kit for my 10/22 which is around $300. The thing is while i will have a blackish rifle well its still gonna be a .22. So what do you guys think save up for the AR of buy the Archangel and trick out my .22? Opinions on the kit are appreciated.

I have been dwelling over getting a non-restricted AR lookalike for some time, but tricking out my 10/22 would not be an alternative for me, just not the same

I think the AR-180b would be a decent little entry rifle if non-restricted is important, but I think they are recently discontinued?

Hmmm ya from what i heard they have been discontinued recently and i would prefer a non-res. Anybody hear any good news about the type 97 or is that not looking promising.

A 22 rifle with a kit doesn't qualify as a black rifle, get the real thing and you'll be happier, I promise.

I own a krinker plinker with 8 inch barrel on it, don't get me wrong, it is a hoot to shoot, but no way does a 22lr rifle replace the fun of a AR15.
