Help me make a Decision? CZ 512 vs T/CR 22

Like the title says, I'm wanting to hear what you lads figure should take my rimfire budget and attention over the next while. Looking for a fun, accurate, and semi-auto .22LR. Something good for squirrel duty is the real job at play here.

I can't be of much help. but I have a CZ 512 and love it, especially with the easy availability of the 25 round magazines. Absolutely loving it.
As for the other option, I have never had any experience with it, sorry.

Would you be able to confirm or dispel the rumor that the 25 rounders don't work well past 18 or so rounds?

I think you would be well served by either. I do not have any experience with either but that TCR22 has caught my eye more than once and I think that would be my pick, and that is coming from someone who is a big fan of all things CZ. The TC appears to be an upgraded 10/22 for less cost than an actual upgraded 10/22.

You know, I have never had a hiccup with the 25 rounders, in my 512 or my 457. Feed without any issues, over 1000 rounds through my 512.

I've been looking to add a semi (don't have one) and considered these two.

Out of the box the T/CR22 is ready to shoot with the peep sights (don't plan on adding an optic) and it's ~$200 less. The savings will buy a 3-pk Ruger rotary mags and a couple bricks.

On the other hand, the CZ has nice wood for a more traditional look. While I'm not rough on my "toys" I hate seeing dings and scratches especially on wood.

If it were 10/22 vs T/CR22....it would be the T/CR22 for this Old Phart
