Help me make up my mind. New IPSC gun.

I just couldn't justify the $600 difference between shadow and shadow 2 with this Black Friday sale so I just picked up a shadow. Looking forward to trying it out at the range.

Go with the Shadow. I recently picked up a new production Shadow and it isn't the Shadow I bought several years ago. The trigger on my newest Shadow is not much better than a stock 75B frankly. The gun does have the extra weight that some find appealing. Not sure if it does much for most average shooters but it does soak up some recoil. As others have said buying the Shadow, or virtually any other production gun will take you as far as your skills will allow. The Shadow does have one of the nicest grips ever put on a pistol and if you want a gun that will serve you well for the rest of your life, look no further.

Take Care

IPSC isn't as easy as "just start shooting". As others have mentioned, there are major and minor categories, and a whole bunch of different classes. I really suggest you spend some time with an experienced IPSC shooter to get a grip on all the nuances.

If I had to start again, that would be the way to go.
