You want a 300, you should build a 300. It fits nicely between your 308 and 338.

RENT or BUY a REAMER in 6mm, something from 6BR or the streched versions up to 243ACKLEY. The 6mm will give you one of the best bullet selections for target shooting.

Juan since you can spin a barrel on when ever you like I'd try the 6.5 wizum. Big time barrel burner but, I don't think you will be upset for the first 1000 rounds. Just my 2 cents.

How about a .300WM? Heavy VLD's should give you almost the .338 Lapuas power and trajectory and won't cost as much to feed.
