hi all i currently have 2 cz's 1 anchutz, and a schultz&larssen i have a cz withpeep sights and my schultz & Larssen i currently use for competition shooting and may put a better peep sight on my S&L but i am in the market in the near future for a better brand new competition 22lr, i am looking hard at the Anschutz mpr and 64 biathalon but also have considerd the walther kk100 or the weirhauch rifles my budjet is around the 1500 dollar mark any advise or good links here in Canada to find something would be a lot of help cheers!

What competition are you using the rifle for ? Do you want a competition level rifle for its consistency and features?
The competitions typically stipulate the specifications of the gear that can be used. Best to be guided initially by that and then see if the maker has something that fits or can be modified to fit. Anschutz makes rifles for various competition disciplines and there have been a few in the precision
rifle EE and in sporting rifle EE recently. Visit a range that is hosting the type
of competition you're interested in and see what the others use.

you promised to buy my exemplar 4 months ago, and now this mmmmmmmmm

am I missing something

yeah you are you were rude i had car troubles and repairs and am constantly away with work and am posting from the UK at the moment and will be buying a new comp gun around christmas time, i was considering still potentially buying your exemplar if you still had it, things happen ie training for Afghanastan wife kids and money issues with repairs so i dont owe you an explanation so if you dont mind this isnt the place to talk about it were done here

JCBruno,

For that money, I would look around for a used 1907 or similar Anschutz.
(A new one would run you about $2300

just curiouse is the 54 model so much better that one can justify the extra 1000 bucks what makes it s much better i realy am nos as versed in the sport as many on here are i am interesten in your thoughts on this?

Lets pretend you are buying a car... Anschutz are pretty much the equivalent of Porsche.

The 64 action is like the Boxter
The 54 action is like the 911

Are the price difference between the two worth it? It depends... But as far as rifles are concerned, know quite a few 64 shooter that moved up to the 54... But I can't think of any 54 shooter that moved down to the 54.

Either rifle would serve you well I'm sure
(Beside the money saved on the 64 could pay for a nice jacket/sling/glove/scope stand...

sounds like a decent comparison, i think i will go with a 64 action for now and may in the future upgrade to a high end 54 anschutz or walther but for now well raising the kids i cant honestly justify to the wife and kids a 2000 dollar gun besides when my kids are older perhaps i can pass the 64 to them well i buy a upgrade, just curiouse what is the general opinion of the walther kk100?

Mr I do not want to give a deposit

I was just curious but you seem to change the story. Your car repairs and so on for excuses. I will leave a bad rating for you. Just dont lie.
You changed your mind without a deposit, that is what happened.

How can it be rude to ask what happened after broken promise and broken promise.

because you don't call people out on stuff like that publicly, which is what you just did. it's a private matter which should have been taken care of privately. if you had an issue with them, you should have just left a negative review and left it at that.

once again m8 this isnt the place to discuss it and i never lied to you, my car broke down and i had to fix it aswell me being away from home alot has taken its toll on the family and my finacial place, you are right i wanted it then things came up for that i am sorry, but even after i explaind that you made comments like "did you change your mind or did you get arrested" so sorry again that i changed my mind, was thinking about sending you a e-mail to see if you still had it but certainly i am not interested now, things happen in life and my pregnant wife and kids needing a car that works was a higher priority then a new gun and for that i don't apologise now please stop talking to me about it over and OUT!

The KK100 would be another great option, if you can find one. It's been out of production for a few years now.

It is pretty much a CZ barreled action with an updated match trigger, match sight and better stock.

now back to buisnes yeah i think i may know of where there is 1 or 2 kk100's NIB still for sale but realy like the looks of the annie much better, do 54 and 64 actions have the same barrels?

Walther is in my opinion, ahead of a 64 and would be an excellent option.
I have owned all and the Walther I have is on that I keep. just a great
rifle. Not a 54 but real close.

all you could afford

by your own admission on your previous post (not the unpaid purchase) is a

NEW 64MPR order it from peter.

not being smart but it is about 1100 and will outshoot you and your friends any day of the week with the right ammo. spend the saved money on ammo from peter, you will sell some of your other guns and be money ahead,

hope you get a good gun for xmas
and let peter know your real name, not the jcbruno you use here

We have a KK100 and it is a really nice rifle. As noted above, it has a CZ barrel and a beautiful Walther trigger. They are relatively inexpensive. My only quip is the limited adjustment of the buttplate.
