help me pick a spotting scope

well finally I have had enough of my current set up which consists of a cheap 4x scope and a steady hand

I was trying to sight in my ar in .223 today and if it wasn't for the generous old timers at the range with their equipment that they could spot a tick on a flys ass a million miles away I would have never gotten the job done.

so this is what I need and maybe my fellow cgners could point me in the right direction:
need to be able to see 223 rounds at 100 yards, 100 yards is the furthest i plan to sight any of my rifles in. I need to be able to get a clear picture so I can make adjustments, I will not use it in the field, this is a strictly range only scope for when I have to sight my rifles in every 6 months(it will not get much use)....and my price is an absolute max of 300 bucks and thats stretching it...

any suggestions of what and where to look is much appreciated.

If you want cheap I have an older 20x Bushnell with made in Japan glass. No mount or tripod with it though.

Konus if you can find one cheap may have to go used. I bought a good european one for under $500 would have cost me at least another zero new. Look in the EE
