Well, of those three I know I WOULDN’T choose the savage. Not a fan, unless it’s a 22lr.
I’d probably pick the M70 in a featherweight.

I am a huge Winchester fan. I have a .30-06 model 70 extreme weather. I dont recall seeing many, if any model 70's of recent vintage wearing open sights. Not a big Savage centerfire fan myself. That said.... I recently picked up a handy rifle recently and have fallen in love. It is a 1980's Remington Model 7 in .308win. It has all the stuff I love in a grab-n-go do-all rifle. It has a short 18.5" barrel, wood stock, open sights and is as nice a gun as has ever been in my safes. Really light and with the short barrel, I can grab it in the mag area , and it doesnt come close to hitting the muzzle of the ground as I walk. I dont know why I never bought one before. ( I guess they arent as common as the model 700's are)

Of those choices, I'd pick a M-70 Super Grade, but I'd choose the .30/06 over a .308 in a full sized bolt gun.

Id take the cz then the savage then the m70 my self. All of them are nice rifles.

I own several Winchester’s and a couple CZ’s, not much experience with Savage. Of those three the CZ will have the open sights/wood combo you prefer. All three models will be plenty accurate and reliable. Slight advantage of build quality goes to the CZ over M70, but you pay for it with heavier weight of the rifle (supergrade might be heavier though) and rings/bases as they don’t have Talley Lightweights available for them.

CZ 550 will also be harder to find new but they are around. I just picked one up from Reliable and I’m very happy with the gun and retailer.

I have a 550 and 750. They’re the easiest bolts to take apart. Take the firing pin out in seconds to make it safe to test feed. My CZ 750 was having extraction problems. I pulled an extractor claw from an old Parker Hale Mauser . Clipped right in and workers perfect. You wouldn’t be able to do that with the Winchester as it’s “Mauser” control feed isn’t Mauser control feed. The 750’s bolt is identical to the 550 other than the firing pin of the 750 is thicker obviously for strength since it’s a military rifle.

Winchester and CZ are classic rifles that are costly to produce.
Savages not so much.

If you're buying new the CZ 550 seems like a no brainer.

The Savage is not remotely in the same league as the M-70 or CZ. I would could concur with "Boomers" choice. Buy a Win M-70 in Super Grade chambered in 30-06, A very fine quality rifle for the money and the 30-06 will do all you ask of it plus.

Win M70 then CZ but both are good rifles, handle both if you can then make then make up your mind.

Winchester model 70 featherweight or CZ 550. Which ever one feels better in your hands. The other rifle isnt even worth including in the conversation.
