Help me pick my new gun

STI make good guns with minor tweaking neaded. SVI makes great guns without any tweaking if ordered to your liking. However I really wanted to point out to the new guys that there are no magic beans in IPSC. You can't buy good shooting. You can only earn it threw hard work.

Lately,..I have been fondling a fake STI Eagle bb gun...I think I am getting the 3 year itch.:nest: LOL. My Limited Custom feels like a dirty tramp lately. Not shooting it well and i am looking for excuses to get an Edge.

I like dirty tramps, especially Italian ones ;)

I think I just may buy another LC2, this time in shiny SS :D

Dallas you've seen me shoot. I'm in nooo way a pro, but i really liek the sport. the gun i have is ok, but i feel i could do a bit better with a better gun. I plan to be shooting IPSC for the long haul, so i figure i may as well save the cash up for a gun better suited to the sport now, rather than fight with my POS lol. I like my gun, it's just not made with IPSC in mind.

I think one of the most important things to note is that the firearm MUST be reliable. You MUST be confident with its abilities to perform under your direction.

Its all about personal preference. Don't let anyone "tell you" what gun to buy. Take advise from people in the know, but in the end choose what feels best in your hands. I love single stack 1911's. STI's modular frame design will give you the slimmest possible grips for double stack. I currently shoot a para, and its a bit wide for me but ive gotten used to it. My next IPSC standard gun is going to be a single stack 1911 in .40. with the right mags you can hold 10 rounds. And in Canada, you are at no disadvantage because thats all you are allowed anyways.

Dont mean to change thoughts here but I thought 1911 with 10 rounds was not legal for IPSC Standard. I miss something?

Cheers

Yea but then you shoot minor to everyone else shooting Major. Does the .40 fit or is OP looking at only 2011 or CZTS?

BTW I saw a new TS from a dealer here (cant remember who) with 3 mags, parts, 2 grips for $1150. Waaaay cheaper than a similar equipped Edge. Just sayin, lol

cheers

I swear I shoot better with my stock 2 9mm in standard than I do my Limited Custom. I may have been having a few bad matches lately,..but I noticed it last year as well.

Damn! I freakin love my LC 2!! Was the RSO at the range last night and no one showed up so I set up my own mini courses ... shot 300 rounds through her ... totally awesome pistol! I think I might buy another one in SS ;)

I would love to try out a CZ TS just for fun and to compare how it feels
