Some days I feel like I grew up in the wrong location. I believe that I will go hog hunting, I've checked Florida out and that seems right up my alley.

I also read your hawaii adventure and enjoyed it very much! You're a lucky guy! Too bad about forgetting that shotgun!

You don't need a guide to hunt deer in Saskatchewan, but with a bit of looking you could find an outfitter that would take your money and stay in your budget. Same with black bear, but then you're back to stand hunting.

Wyoming has some relative bargains for pronghorn and can be done on a semi do-it-yourself basis for not a lot of money. A bit of trespass fee on one of the reservations or larger ranches and a guide would take care of that. Texas audad is a cheap hunt and you can get your share of walking. Deals come up in South America on red stag, you'd have to check on individual countries whether you can bring an M14 on not. Flights aren't too bad, and there are enough hot women around to give you a case of whiplash.
 
Talking about a summer hunt rules out a lot of game in North America. Most medium game runs October thru January.

For Ontario Whitetail, there are plenty of crown land opportunities for you in WMUs within a few hours drive and on crown land. There are lodges in WMU47 that charge about $700 for the week. Get a couple buddies together and check out the Golden Valley and Port Loring.

I agree with the guys, you can hunt hogs in a lot of places year round and something like Ardent's trip to Hawaii sounds awesome.
 
Isn't there some sort of red stag hunting in Quebec? Not sure what they charge for that though.
My neighbour did a fly in caribou hunt in Northern Manitoba. Ran somewhere in the realm of three grand for the week, plus you had to make your own way to Thompson to catch the plane, but he seemed to enjoy it. No tree stands (no trees even), glass from a hilltop and run out to try and cut off approaching herds. If you hit the peak migration with a rifle you're pretty much guaranteed to get one with a little legwork. He did one with the bow to keep it interesting, I think it's two tags per customer.

*Forgot the summer thing, caribou is somewhere round early fall.

Hey, you've got it made right now. You've got the will to travel and sounds like no family responsibilities yet to stress over while you do it. Hunt your bag off, it gets harder as life progresses, and I say that with fairly recent memories of having far more time than money. Soon to paraphrase Dogleg's wise sentiments, time will be the hardest commodity to come by, so burn it having fun while you can! Don't discount bird hunts, I've been fortunate to hunt a lot of things in a lot of places and still scantly a hunt I enjoy more than a busy day of uplanding. ;)
