Help: Mossberg 590A1 Finish

How durable is the matte finish on a 590A1?

Can it stand up to exposure to sal####er?
Does it come off easy?

I need to know how durable it is. I don't want something that will look like crap in 2 months.

The receivers are anodized and the steel is parked.

IF you are concerned about the finish - you might want to look at the Mossberg Special Purpose Mariner.

I think the name "mariner" says it all when dealing with sal####er. I own one in the "matte" finish.....it looks cool, but I wouldn't call it durable.

The anodizing on the reciever scratches very easily, and as with all parked guns you get rubs in the finish easily because of the gritty/slightly abrasive nature of the finish.

The aluminum receiver is anodized and the barrel is phospated.
