Help mounting scope in Calgary please.

Looking for someone who has some free time, a scope mounting kit and willing to help properly mount and bore sight my new scope.
Im cheap and dont want to spend $100+ on a kit for just one scope.
Looking for someone in Calgary and North area please.

What type of rifle, rings, scope, etc.

I also have a savage btvs that needs work but I need to buy the floor plate before I do any mounting.

I believe most gunshops will install and boresight a basic scope without lapping for around $20.

I spend good coin on a leupold. Would like to have the scope aligned and rings lapped.

If you want lapping, you'll have to find a gunsmith type of shop. Big box stores like WSS and Basspro will mount but wont lap.

Maybe you should buy some burris signature series rings. They have a plastic insert so they do not require lapping and have excellent grip on the rifle scope. The big box stores would be able to safely mount these rings on your scope without worry.

Don't be so cheap (your words), get the kit and do it yourself.


Or get the Burris rings as mentioned above. I use these rings almost exclusively now and they are fantastic.

Are the rings aluminum or steel, and is the scope 1" or 30mm (or 34 or 35mm etc.)

I have a 30mm bar, but I wouldn't bother if the rings are aluminum, made that mistake once before.
