Help my brothers GF choose a pistol!

So my brothers GF has decided to buy a handgun, she would like a somewhat lightweight .40cal semi-auto pistol. Recoil is not an issue and she has around 1000$. So what would be a great pistol for her? Glock, XD? Any opinions would help! Thanks,

My next gun is either the XD-M, Sig 250 or Beretta 90-two. All in 9mm and in that order.

But anyhow I have talked with several girls that shoot a handgun, they all said that how the gun looks is more important to them. My wife and daughter are the same. Don't force her to buy something that you think is good, let her choose.

I just bought a 226 for the wife and I to shoot, but we also checked out the sig 2022, there a touch smaller and a fair bit cheaper to keep the price below a grand...Good value there

Several dealers here are offering M&P's for $599, a used Sig is around $800

The deal on the M&P's is so good they compete with the norks.

I have to agree. Ill take my M&P over my Glock anyday. Both great pistols, just like the feel of the S&W more.

My wife shoots a 9mm Bul Storm and it functions flawlessly. I love the gun myself. Problem is I have checked Marstar's site ever since they have carried them and they have been sold out since day 1.

with the adjustable grips on the m&p it is well worth it. I have about 2000 rounds through mine and not a single problem
