Well I was to the range today and was letting a friend shoot my Enfield Tanker revolver. Went through about 25 rounds (thats all I brought for that gun) and the very last round did not fire. I figured the bullet was a dud. Nope. Upon closer inspection the very tip of the firing pin or what is more properly called the "hammer nose" I guess was sheared off. So does anyone have one of these, c'mon, I know theres one in the bottom of your sock drawer. Well if not, has anyone had this problem and know where to find one?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Gibbs505 and right you are. That was my first reaction before posting. "out of stock check back in 30 to 60 days"

Man, it's my worst fear; why I don't fire my all matching Lugers! I am just afraid the serialed fp would break and I'd be screwed! Best of luck,
Joe

Thanks for the good wishes joe n - well at least its not an expensive gun but it was a particularly nice one in my opinion. I really like the gun. I must find a way. I guess worst case scenario, I could maybe buy a beater one for parts. I'd rather avoid the paperwork though.

if you find one let me know i have buddy looking for the exact same part, only he has enough of the old pin to dipple the primer on his ammo but not shoot it

Yeah on the very last round, my pin did not even make contact with the primer. I will post if I find a source.

What does the pin look like; is it an integral portion of the hammer? If so silver solder an addition on and file to shape. If it is a separate piece, it should not be too hard to make a new one out of drill rod.

I was going to describe the part to mooncoon but you are correct Al Flipo it is part jj according to that diagram.

Gee Al Flipo thats a hell of a nice offer. I am still tracking down some leads but, like you say, if the conventional channels don't pan out, I will gladly send you the part and reimburse you for your work. :D

Just a note of thanks for all your suggestions and help. I am now looking forward to getting the part in the mail.
