I too have an Otis. Untwist/unscrew the cable and remove it like Pete said. I used a 22 cal cleaning rod down the muzzle to tap it back out.
 
I f ing hate the otis pos cleaning kit, i have had to remove afew of these unholy things at work. I clamp the pull threw in a vise pull the rifle with all 215lbs of my weight. Now i know it wont hurt a c8 but i am not sure about a Tavor.

Leave it plugged and tell her you've tried everything but will have to replace the rifle, then after you have the new rifle clear the old one. Maybe buy something different to "replace" it since you know you will be able to get this one cleared eventually.
May as well buy a couple cases of ammo while she's feeling bad as well.
Act very sad for a while and have her perform some "favors" for you while she feels guilty.
She won't feel bad for long so make the most of it.

I seriously doubt she has a PAL. if she is asking to look at guns, chances are good she doesn't have one. Way to potentially screw your wife and you over buds!

Not sure why but I'm finding some of these responses hilarious this morning, maybe my wife slipped me something in the coffee but I do agree that any woman showing interest should be encouraged it only helps to further the sport. Also as many have said join date doesn't really matter before I officially joined I trolled the free access forums soaking up any and all info I could on what I thought I would be most interested in. With that being said I surprised myself at my love for the black rifle she's a part of me now lol...

Someone who trusts their spouse and is happy that they're showing interest in their hobby?
 
if the cable is still attached, wrap the end around a piece of metal (thick screwdriver blade ect..) grab tight and pull hard. They will come out, you just need to use something way stronger useless little bronze "handle" in the kit.
