The picture should explain it all... A buddies barrel got shot by the guy next time on a waterfowl hunt (first and last time any of us ever hunt with that guy 🙄) but now we have a short window left of good wings hooting and need a replacement barrel for a Winchester SX4 12ga, 3". Does anyone know of a replacement in Camada?

Yup.... I mean, I take literally children on mentored hunts every fall (like 12-17 years old) and have NEVER even had so much as a close call with ANY OF THEM. Go out with a bunch of adults and this happens...

Western Gun Parts in Edmonton likely has one, they had all the parts necessary to rebuild my buddies SX3 when the bolt fork snapped during firing and darned near went through the receiver...

and that right there is why I refuse to hunt with a group and why I do not invite newbies along often. A newbie comes out with me and like it or not you get a safety talk before you set foot in the blind, you need to show me you understand how your gun works then you are given clear serious instructions on your zone of fire before you are placed between two experienced shooters to keep an eye on you. Step out of line you are done, right there on the spot.

A club member that purchased an SX-4 with the really short barrel, decided to purchase a longer barrel for skeet. He had no problem finding barrels, but the cost was around $600.

I just ordered a new barrel for my 2016 A5. Prophet River in Sask was great to deal with, good response time and they sourced a barrel much faster than estimated.

Thanks for the input everyone, I found a couple options for replacement barrels!

It was an unfortunate experience and all the more reason to not hunt with groups of new people, withiut vetting them first.

Even if you vet them, doesn't mean this won't happen.

Like my landlord. No flags popped up till weeks after signing a lease. Last week she barged in our place yelling at us and had to be removed.
