Can anyone point me to some images? Other than the U.S. Army M6 holster.
Looking for reference images for something a 1950's gangster would use.

Thanks loads

the only ones i'm familiar with are the m7 shoulder and the m3 flap, and the m1912 - you can look those up in your search engine- i don't think there were any new designs in the 50s- the m3 and m1912s are belt flaps, and the 1912 has a pivot so you can ride a horse - ie it looks like a drop leg, but it's really just a belt with an extension- once you start involving "civilains" you get all kinds of abominations

most of the time it is just stuck in between the pants and the shirt or in a trench coat pocket. I did't think gangsters actually used a holster.

boardwalk empire is a pretty decent series to check out for 20's gangsters.

Something like this? Made by AE Nelson and used on the "untouchables" in the 50's an 60's depicting the '30's

I'd check the rig in this movie.

Tandy leather has a shoulder holster kit: ht tp://www.tandyleatherfactory.ca/en-cad/search/searchresults/44450-10.aspx

You can use their hostlers or magazine holders with it. Using their holsters the barrel is in a horizontal configuration as opposed to perpendicular if that is your preference.

They have stores all over Canada.
