HELP NEEDED 11mm dovetail on Anschutz 54 Action

I purchased new Anschutz 1710 with 54 action for Silhouette shooting.
It has 11mm dove tail.

Then I got EDGE SILHOUETTE rings from morraccuracy.com

All the same features as the standard edge rings except with the maximum allowable height for silhouette competition, available in straight only, for 11mm rail.

I guess what I missed is that 11mm dove tail on action 54 is different from 11mm rail

Any Ideas how I can fix my problem?

Try mounting them? Might not look good with the straight ring base over the rounded receiver, but if it holds solid.... Adding bases might be putting you over the height limit for silhouette rings, you'll have to measure the rings as is and see if they are at the limit or allow for a base.

Forgive my ignorance about Silhouette shooting as I've never experienced it. Why would such high rings be desirable?

Ya. What size of scope are you using to need rings that tall?

Height is not for overly large obj. bell . Ring height is to allow for an upright head position in standing up to a max hgt of 1.5" receiver top to scope tube

If you settle on that ring set, you may try filing the inside of the dovetail to match the curve of the receiver top. It's surprising how little you may have to remove .

This will work.

Go to a web site that has air rifle parts. Air rifle rings will fit correctly.
They have the same style of dove tail as a 54
The anchutz dovetail is cut different then what is cut for SAE dovetail.

I think you should consider taking up a different shooting discipline rather than put those hideous rings on that gorgeous rifle...
